The Toy & Game International Excellence (TAGIE) Awards, held on November 8th in Chicago, will be broadcast in a special hour-long episode on January 18th on CBS as part of the Toys of Our Lives series.

This year’s 17th annual TAGIE Awards celebrated the inventors, designers, and innovators behind some of the most beloved toys and games. The broadcast will feature nine category winners and three Lifetime Achievement honorees, including Mary Danby, Dan Romanelli, and Alan Dorfman.

Hosted by Karri Bean (Lego at Disney Consumer Products) and featuring creative scriptwriting from Barry and Jason Entertainment, the show will take viewers on a time-traveling journey through toy history.

Donna Drake, co-executive producer of Toys of Our Lives, expressed excitement about bringing these stories to a national audience. “Capturing the energy of the TAGIE Awards for this televised special was an unforgettable experience,” she said.

The TAGIE Awards special will air in major U.S. markets, including New York, Boston, Detroit, Dallas, Atlanta, Seattle, Pittsburgh, Sacramento, and Tampa Bay.
